Mirth Madhouse Origins

Hey I’m Britty—founder, creator, and chaos conductor of Mirth Madhouse. I’m based in Temecula, California, and I’ve been slowly (and stubbornly) building this world of art and oddities since 2019.

I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was the one drawing dragons, meticulously sketching the Titanic sinking (with way too much enthusiasm), doodling haunted houses, and entire landscapes I dreamed up in my head. In my teen years, I dove head first into painting, sculpting, and even writing dark poetry and strange little fantasy stories. If it let me escape into a weird little world, I was all in.

But like a lot of creatives, life happened. I became a Mom of three amazing little chaos gremlins who took up all my time, focus, and love (they still do). For a long time, my art took a backseat while I navigated survival mode. Eventually, I started carving out time for myself again—sketch by sketch, idea by idea—and somewhere in that reclamation, Mirth Madhouse was born.

Mirth Madhouse is my rebellion, my healing, and my love letter to weirdos like me. I’m constantly learning, evolving, and pouring that growth into everything I create. This shop is more than merch—its a reminder that you’re allowed to take up space, to be strange, and to create something beautiful from the madness. Now I create unapologetically weird, horror-inspired, spooky-cute, and dark humored art that helps people laugh, scream, or just feel a little less alone in the chaos we mortals call life.

If you want a deeper peek behind the curtain, come join the Crypt Club— my little inner sanctum of mischief makers and art lovers. There you’ll get access to exclusive content, my creative process, behind-the-scenes, freebies, and more about how this haunted house of creativity runs.

Check out the Behind the Screams section, where I share photos, videos, and messy progress shots— because perfection is boring and the process is half the fun.

Thanks for being a part of the mirth and madness at Mirth Madhouse!
